That’s A Wrap | TP&Co’s 2019 Reflection

Another year bites the dust, and what a year it was! Welcome to Think Property & Co‘s December wrap-up, a reflection on all of the happenings within the property industry – and our team – in 2019. With the end of year fast approaching, we hope that your hard efforts are rewarded with a moment of relaxation and well-deserved rest this holiday season.

The past 12 months at Think Property & Co have welcomed constant and substantial growth, with referrals from our current clients being our primary source of new properties. It goes without saying, we are eternally grateful to every one of our clients this year and sincerely thank you for trusting your property needs in the hands of our agency. You have all been an absolute pleasure to work with!

This year, rental properties have been steady in growth, meaning we are achieving continued rent increases as Victoria’s market conditions are remain high in the inner city.

The 2019 Victorian State Budget boasted several wins for property investors, owner-occupiers and first home buyers. Addressing issues of combustible cladding safety and redevelopment plans for ‘priority precincts’, this TP&Co blog unpacks everything you need to know about this year’s State Budget – including a solar panel rebate program that’s accessible to both tenants and homeowners.

In our efforts to make buying, leasing and selling #BetterForEveryoneThink Property & Co have switched many of our processes to a sustainable paperless system. We recognise the value of improving our environmental footprint and encourage those in the real estate community to join us by implementing everyday changes that will help save our planet. Read all about it here.

Victoria’s leasing laws are set to change drastically as of July 1st, 2020 as our industry ushers in and implements a full suite of legislative reforms. These changes are a direct response to community feedback during the Victorian Government’s Fairer Safer Housing consultation to review the 1997 Residential Tenancies Act. In last month’s blog, we broke down the primary changes of these regulations, explaining the ways you’ll be impacted and how to best prepare.

So what’s our team getting up to this holiday season? Sarah is off to the UK for a month, visiting family and enjoying a wonderful winter Christmas. Kelly is looking after her properties, basking in all the goodness Melbourne has to offer this summer. Randal and Martine will continue checking-in & welcoming new tenants over the holiday break and will be available to assist with any enquiries through this busy time of year.

The Think Property & Co family wish our community of clients and friends all the very best this holiday season, and sincerely thank you for your support in 2019. We look forward to working with you to reach your property goals in the New Year!
